INNER HEALING
INNER HEALING
Many times, those that are grieving the loss of a loved one believe it’s something they need to do alone, and no one can possibly understand how they feel.
GriefShare is a Christ-centered program designed to help those on the grief journey to realize they’re not alone and there are others that face some of the same feelings and challenges.
Sessions begin on Sept. 16 from 9:30-11 a.m. in the St. Mary Conference Room at the church. Each session is designed to address common grief-related topics, provide answers, comfort, and hope.

Inner Healing FAQ
We are very blessed by the Lord’s work to bring about healing in all of our lives. In addition to the healing Sacrament of Confession and spending time with Jesus, the Divine Physician in prayer and the Eucharist, we offer 3 primary means of healing (in addition to the healing sacraments that God gives us) here at St. Mary.
-
Healing Groups: these are groups of 4-8 that want to seek healing at a deeper level of trust and intimacy together.
Inner Healing Prayer Sessions: We have inner healing prayer available here.
Healing the Whole Person Retreat & 8 Week Series: We are blessed to have a video series with new content made by the JP II Healing Center. Videos are done by Sr. Miriam and Dr. Bob Schutes. Those who have participated so far have been very blessed by the experience and have received inner healing.

To receive individual prayer — sign up for a session here: Healing Prayer Sessions.
In a Healing Prayer Session, a team of two people will pray with the recipient to receive whatever healing God chooses to give them.
-
Prayer ministers in this ministry are people who have received healing graces themselves and have been trained by the John Paul II Healing Center in how to pray with others for healing.
Healing prayer sessions take place Tuesday evenings in the parish office. Many people come once for an appointment, but others schedule follow-ups.

A good resource for all of us to review before our Healing Prayer Session is this handout: Renouncing Lies & Deadly Sins and Announcing the Truth (pdf).

Some who have gone through Healing the Whole Person or other inner healing have expressed the desire to go further or deeper into the inner work of healing. You do not need to go through Healing the Whole Person to be able to start your own healing group.
These groups can look like:
Reading Be Healed or other book together and monthly meetings
Getting together and praying with one another (like prayer ministry)
Going through the Healing the Whole Person Workbook together
Discussing what God is doing in your life
These groups are not managed by the St. Mary staff. You are encouraged to find people that you trust, if you think that this format will be helpful to you!
“Praise the Lord! It is good to sing praises to our God for he is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly. The Lord builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.” —Psalm 147:1-3
