Trail of Thorns The Trail of Thorns is a one half mile nature trail winding through a wooded corner on the property of St. Mary Catholic Church off of Dexter Pinckney Road. The construction of the trail has been a community event. Three Boy Scouts have worked on various parts of the trail as their Eagle Scout Projects. The trail includes 15 large crosses with housings which hold Outdoor Stations of the Cross. One section of the trail has standing plaques representing the 20 Mysteries of the Rosary. The Sorrowful Mysteries are placed in a horseshoe shape near the 12th Station of the Cross (Jesus dies on the cross,) creating an area of reflection which will eventually be used as an Outdoor Gathering Space
