MUSIC MINISTRY

Schedule

VOCAL MUSIC

Adult Choir

Rehearses: Thursdays, 7:00-8:30pm

Sings: Every Sunday @ 9:00 Mass

Glorifying God with hearts and voices, this ensemble faithfully leads the assembly in song. Anyone who loves to sing is encouraged to participate.

Children’s Choir (grades K-4)

Rehearses: Wednesdays, 6:30-7:00pm

Sings monthly @ one weekend Mass

The heavenly sound of the Lord’s little ones reminds us of Jesus’ words, “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.” A fun, yet rewarding experience for any child, and a wonderful opportunity for musical and spiritual growth.

 Youth Choir (grades 4-8)

Rehearses: Wednesdays, 6:00-6:30pm

Sings at weekday school Masses and at one or more weekend Masses 4-5 times per year.

This is about as close as it gets to Angels singing. Youth love having fun and being part of something special, and this ensemble certainly fits the bill! A great way to get girls and boys involved, while learning the great songs of our faith. As Jesus said, “To such as these the Kingdom of God belongs.” All youth are welcome!

 Vocal Ensemble (11:30am Mass)

Rehearses: Sundays following 9:00am Mass (10:30-11:15am)

Sings: every 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday @ 11:30am

A talented group of singers and players with a musically more contemporary focus, utilizing vocal harmonies, guitars, piano, flute and light percussion. Experienced singers and instrumentalists are encouraged to audition.

VOCAL MUSIC

SILK  (5:00pm Mass)

Rehearses: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00pm

Sings: Every Saturday @ 5:00pm Mass

A spirited group of vocalists and instrumentalists that help make the 5:00pm Mass really come alive! Those with vocal or instrumental skills and a desire to praise God in song may contact SILK director, Mary Simoni, through the church office to schedule an audition.

 Praise & Worship Band

Rehearses: 1st Sunday of the month after 9:00am Mass, and 3rd Sunday of the month after 11:30am Mass

Plays: 1st Sunday of the month at 9:00am and 11:30am, & 3rd Sunday of the month @ 11:30 Mass

A high-energy youth-oriented band that illuminates scripture through the use of fresh, contemporary, charismatic-style music. This ensemble really takes worship to a whole other level! All skilled musicians/singers are encouraged to audition.

 Cantors

Rehearses: Once per week

Sing: At all Masses

There is likely no higher musical calling than that of cantoring, a calling that requires one to confidently lead the assembly in song. There are various cantoring opportunities available. Please contact Music Director, Tony Giamanco, for more information and to schedule an audition.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Hand chime Ensemble

Rehearses: Thursdays, 6:00-7:00pm

Plays: One Sunday each month at one or more weekend Masses.

A beginner group, ideal for the not-so-musically inclined. Ringing is a fun, easy-to-learn way to make beautiful music! Youth and adults are always welcome to join us in “ringing a new song unto the Lord”.

  Instrumental Soloists

Opportunities are also available for youth and adult instrumentalists to offer their talents at weekend Masses playing solos and obbligato parts. Please contact Music Director, Tony Giamanco, to schedule these.
