A Catholic mother’s group designed to
provide spiritual, educational and social opportunities for moms
of all ages.
Moms lead busy, hectic lives. A mothers
drive to care for her children and family-physically, mentally and
spiritually-is so strong and all-encompassing she often neglects to set
aside a bare minimum of time to nurture her own soul. MOMS group offers
mothers the ability to “make time.” Pope John Paul II stated that: “in
order to live our faith, we must know our faith.”
Our mission
Ministry of Moms Sharing, M.O.M.S, strives
to provide spiritual, educational, prayer and social opportunities for
mothers. We pray these opportunities lead mothers to a deeper
appreciation for, and renewed commitment to their holy calling of
motherhood.
We dedicate ourselves to the most Blessed Virgin
Mary as a role model for all women, especially mothers. We implore,
venerate and petition Mary our Mother each opportunity we meet. We have
chosen St. Gianna Beretta Molla as our model of motherhood. She gave us
a shining example of true love and respect for human life.
PROGRAMS FOR EVERYONE
Prayer and Learning
The 1st and
3rd Monday evening, Ministry of Moms Sharing, M.O.M.S.,
gather in prayer and discussion. We read and the upcoming Sunday’s
Scripture and discuss how the Scripture relates to us personally, as a
mother and as a wife. We invite mothers of all ages and backgrounds to
join us as we celebrate the gift of motherhood and the Liturgy of the
Word.
Community Outreach
The MOMS group reaches out to the parish
and community through Thanksgiving food baskets, baby clothing drive,
Pregnancy Helpline, Pinckney Pro-Life, and a weekly e-mail prayer chain.
First Friday Fast
We invite others to join in solidarity
with the St. Mary MOMS Group as we fast and pray for peace. We ask God
to bring peace to our world, community and our home. Pray with us on
the “First Fridays” of the month and sacrifice something of pleasure.

M.O.M.S is Pro-Life
The St. Mary MOMS Group is proudly a
pro-life advocate. We promote and pray for the fundamental belief we
are endowed with inalienable rights: first and foremost, the right to
LIFE. We have chosen as our patron saint, the blessed St. Gianna
Beretta Molla, who was an example to all mothers, as she is well known
as the Pro-Life Saint of our modern times. We uphold the Catholic
teachings all life is sacred from the moment of conception until our
natural death.
