| Adult Faith Formation is the journey in
which we grow in our knowledge of Christ, His Gospel message, and the
Church. As followers of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we share in the mission
of proclaiming the Good News through our words and actions. To do this,
we must possess a mature faith that is capable of proclaiming Gospel
values in every part of our daily lives, be it at church, at the
workplace or at home. As adult Catholics, we must be men and women of
prayer who are grounded in a sound, strong and deep understanding of our
faith. Some examples of CAFÉ offerings would be Scripture Study Groups,
Catholics Returning Home, various guest speakers through Parish Life
Ministries, etc.

From Gethsemane to the Grave:
A Lenten Journey through the Passion
Narratives
In his book, A Crucified Christ in
Holy Week, Fr. Raymond E. Brown asks,
“With which character in the
(Passion) narrative would I identify myself?”
Are we sleeping like the disciples in the
garden or awake in our relationship with God? Have we played the role of
Peter and denied Him, or Judas and betrayed Him? Like Pilate, do we try
to avoid decisions between good and evil? Are we filled with faith at
the foot of the Cross like the Roman Centurion?
Discover the answers for yourself to
these many other questions as we read and discuss the Passion narratives
and A Crucified Christ in Holy Week in a three-part Lenten
Bible study. Join us for one evening or all three! Please bring a Bible
if possible. Fr. Brown’s book will be available for $7 through Angela in
the Faith Formation Office. Call or email Angela if you would like to
participate in this CAFÉ offering. (agarcia@stmarypinckney.org
